Local lore and legend tells us that an old tree stood at a junction of the Wilderness Road of the Ozarks, an unknown traveler nailed a gate from an abandoned hog pen upon the tree to which local residents, freighters, and merchants, as well as those who journeyed on the old road would leave messages as we do on bulletin boards today. In that sprit we bring to you, our readers and supporters, news from your fellow travelers on the

Letters from our readers.

....I just read The Message Tree for February. I really enjoyed "Ol' Ready To Run".
It brought back a lot of memories.
Daddy's tractor is still always giving him fits!.............. I sent the
website for The Message Tree on to my sister and brother-in-law, ....
.

I just took the time to read every article and recipe on the Feb. Message Tree site. They were all very good and I really enjoyed them. You are all to be commended for doing such a great job. I even visited the Becker's Hdw. site and printed out some interesting items that might help JB in his shop. Jim needs to go up there and see what all he might find for his restoration projects which are increasing day by day as people become aware
he is doing that again.......I would try Ann's recipes but sure don't want the calories!

Vicki

I love your new layout, great content and also your new web host!

Ed I think you out did yourself on this one............
....................I truly enjoyed your story about the Siren's of the OZARKS.

Shirley

from Riverside, California.

This is a great site. Always makes me homesick. If home is where the heart is, Part of me still lives in the Ozarks.

Syd

Wow! You must have worked all night!! It is 1:45 here in Northern California!

I can't wait to have a look........
